<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of coping with information delivery with a host PC even in an energy saving mode for minimum power consumption when the power of main CPU is turned off. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises an engine comprising a scanner and/or plotter, and a controller comprising ASIC connected to a main CPU, memory, operation part, engine, and host PC. The ASIC is divided into a first ASIC5405 connected to the engine and main CPU and a second ASIC5417 connected through a network as an interface with the host PC. In an off mode where the power of controller comprising the main CPU and the first ASIC is turned off, the second ASIC responses to such packet as the second ASIC can response, for example, an inquiry about connection/action state of a specific ID image processing apparatus from the host PC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
