PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for adjusting speed detected position of a speed estimator to presume rate of a mobile terminal, where the system is a base station system of mobile communication systems provided with both the speed estimator for presuming rate of the mobile terminal and a channel estimator which estimates channels by using a plurality of channel estimate modulus according to control signal of the speed estimator. SOLUTION: These system and method are to presume receiving performance for each channel estimate module of the channel estimator, select boundary frequency of plural Doppler frequency bands suitable for the channel estimate module having the best receiving performance, measure power spectrum to a minimum number of frequency indexes partitioning such plural Doppler frequency bands, then apply weighted values to the measured power spectrum, and adjust the detected position so that the value may be approached to the desired Doppler frequency boundary value from the measured one.
