PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a continuous time necessary for obtaining sufficient propagation state detection accuracy, and to maintain a present communication without interruption even during the detection. SOLUTION: It is reported to a terminal under multicarrier communication to temporarily stop transmitting a part of a sub-carrier under using at present by a base station 101. On the basis of the reported information, the terminal 102 measures the state of radio waves having the frequency of the sub-carrier in which transmission is stopped, during the transmission stop.
