<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exercise management apparatus for dogs capable of calculating a highly accurate energy amount reflecting exercise amounts for respective gaits of the dogs. <P>SOLUTION: Since the exercise management apparatus for dogs is provided with a pair of left and right number-of-steps detection means for respectively independently detecting the number of steps of respective left and right legs of the dog, a gait discrimination means for comparing the timings of the detection of the respective numbers of steps and discriminating the gait of the dog, a body weight input means for inputting the body weight of the dog, and an energy consumption calculation means for calculating energy consumption accompanying the gait from the respective numbers of steps and the body weight, the energy consumption accurately reflecting the exercise amount of the dog is calculated and highly accurate exercise management is made possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
