<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contactless IC card reader capable of detecting a key operation correctly without being largely affected by an alternating-current magnetic field radiated from an antenna incorporated on the front face side of a card reader unit, and without a noise signal being induced to a key input operation device, even when the key input operation device is disposed on the front face of the card reader unit. <P>SOLUTION: The contactless IC card reader includes an antenna 13 being embedded on the front face side of a card reader unit A; a communication control means 12 for reading the information stored in an IC card 20 by communicating, through electromagnetic induction, with the IC card 20 having a built-in antenna; and a key input operation device 16 for inputting authentication information. When in use, the key input operation device 16 is moved to an open position located outside the front face of the unit A, while when not in use, the key input operation device 16 is moved to a close position, returning to the front face of the unit A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
