<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise display rack and its operation system to examine merchandise held by a shopping customer in his or her hand and to perform the examining action without letting the shopping customer know it. <P>SOLUTION: In this merchandise display rack equipped with a display rack main body and an IC tag reader, the display rack main body is provided with a plurality of storage spaces in which pieces of merchandise are displayed. The IC tag reader is constituted of: a merchandise display rack positioned so that information stored in a non-contact IC tag mounted on merchandise can be read in a non-contact state when the merchandise is taken out of the storage space; and an information processor for receiving the tag ID information read by the IC tag reader of the merchandise display rack and transmission origin ID information and registering information to specify the merchandise held by a customer in his or her hand into a database on the basis of the information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
