<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detector capable of providing high sensor performance by preventing the drying of an internal liquid or the deterioration of the internal liquid and the surface of an electrode according to an increase in concentration of the internal liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The gas detector comprises the liquid circulating and sending device comprising a variable capacity pump part 11 capable of storing liquid, a diameter-extended passage 12 extended in sectional area toward the pump part, a diameter-reduced passage 13 reduced in sectional area toward the pump part, a connecting passage 14 allowing the passage 12 to communicate with the passage 13, a buffer part 30 communicating with the connecting passage 14 to house a compressible fluid, and a piezoelectric element 21 for changing the capacity of the pump part 11; a gas-liquid separation part (opening part 5) provided on the connecting passage 14, which does not transmit liquid but transmits gas; and a detection part (a working electrode 7 and a counter electrode 9) capable of detecting the reaction of the gas introduced to the connecting passage 14 from the gas-liquid separation part with the liquid in the connecting passage 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
