PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic apparatus which maintains good cleanability over a long period of time in spite of an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high mechanical durabilility to wear, flaws, etc., is free of an image defect and improves the durability of the electrophotographic photoreceptor and a cleaning blade and an electrophotographic image forming method. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic apparatus having the electrophotographic photoreceptor of which the surface layer contains a polymer of a compound having a chain polymerizable functional group and in which the dynamic friction force deviationσin the touching part of the electrophotographic photoreceptor and the cleaning blade and the process speed S [mm/s] of the electrophotographic photoreceptor have the relation shown by equation (1): 0.0057×S+0.5≤Ln(σ)≤0.055×S+3 is provided.
