PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a cake-type powdery cosmetic such as a powdery foundation compounded with 2-ethylhexyl p-methoxycinnamate useful as an organic UV-absorber, having high safety free from sensitization to the skin by the addition of a water-soluble extract and free from troubles of caking in use even by adding the water-soluble extract. SOLUTION: This cake-type powdery cosmetic is produced by compounding a cake-type powdery cosmetic containing 1-10 wt.% 2-ethylhexyl p-methoxycinnamate with 0.01-5 wt.% solvent extract of Ganoderma lucidum and 1-15 wt.% one or more kinds of powder selected from that of silicic acid anhydride, silylated silicic acid anhydride or (dimeticon/vinyldimeticon/meticon) cross-polymer.
