摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weak basic ion measuring method which enables an increase in the response of a detector. SOLUTION: In the measuring method of weak basic ions, water is used as an eluting solution and, after strong basic ions and weak basic anions (ammonium or hydrazine ions) are separated by the ion excluding action of a hydroxide ion type weak basic anion exchange resin column, the sample can be detected with high sensitivity by increasing the response of an UV absorbing detector by an UV absorbance detection increasing column. By this constitution, ammonium ions are increased by 92.6 times in detection sensitivity and hydrazine is increased by about 39.6 times as compared with a conventional method and the linearity of a wide range of a calibration curve can be obtained. Further, the measuring method can be adapted to the quantification of ammonium ions contained in rainwater and the quantification of hydrazine in boiler water and highly precise measurement of high sensitivity eliminating (reducing) environmental pollution can be performed.
