PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic unit easily controllable, enabling piping to be simply formed, and capable of increasing energy efficiency. SOLUTION: A chuck cylinder 106 connected to a chuck selector valve 104, a tailstock clamping cylinder 206 connected to a tailstock clamping selector valve 204, and a tool post clamping cylinder 306 connected to a tool post clamping selector valve 304 are connected to the delivery line 3 of a hydraulic pump 1 parallel with each other. A controller 10 controls a variable speed motor 2 driving the hydraulic pump 1 based on the detected values of a pressure sensor 509 installed in the delivery line 3 so that the pressure of the chuck cylinder 106 becomes a set value. When the pressure of the tailstock clamping cylinder 206 lowers less than a lower limit value, the tailstock clamping selector valve 204 is switched from a cutout state to a communicated state to supply a fluid from the hydraulic pump 1 so as to recover the pressure in the cylinder 206 to the set value.
