PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new material concrete wall and a construction method for the new material concrete wall, causing no inconvenience by a large crack of a base material, even if the wall thickness becomes thin by cutting by a shield machine. SOLUTION: The new material concrete wall 5 with concrete as the base material 6 by using a reinforcing material made of fiber reinforced plastic, is arranged in a part of the wall 3 of a starting shaft 1 of the shield machine 7. A mat 9 of a construction material having strength lower than the base material 6, is arranged along the ground 11 on the natural ground side 17 on the new material concrete wall 5, and the natural ground 17 side base material 6 is formed in a grating shape composed of a horizontal member 21 and a vertical member 19.
