PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refuse storage and discharge device capable of securing wide storage area of refuse and eliminating bridge phenomenon when occurred, and suitably compressing and storing the refuse and of efficiently and smoothly discharging the refuse. SOLUTION: A loading tank 2 in which the refuse is loaded is provided. A storage tank 3 storing the refuse therein is provided in front of the loading tank 2, and a conveyor screw 4 is arranged on a bottom part of the loading tank 2 and the storage tank 3. The conveyor screw 4 is provided to freely slide to a storage position at which the conveyor screw is arranged over a middle part from the loading tank 2 to the storage tank 3 and the refuse loaded in the loading tank 2 is stored and to a discharge position at which the conveyor screw is arranged over a bottom part whole body of the storage tank 3 and the refuse stored in the storage tank 3 is discharged from a discharging opening 51.
