PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device as improvement of the conventional technique in which a propulsive device to be erected at the bottom of a ship has no function sufficient to satisfy the hull strength, and on the other hand, its keel device such as an auxiliary keel etc. has no function sufficient to enhance the propelling performance and the stability at one time. SOLUTION: The auxiliary device furnished with a water stream control part structured so that its part from the front to the rear is bent downward aslant in which the backmost is positioned below the forefront, is erected at the bottom of the ship or its keel part, and thereby a buoyancy is generated from the water stream which the part receives, in particular at the time of propelling, and the propelling performance and the safety can be enhanced and also the hull strength be complemented.
