PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a three-dimensional shaped article excellent in strength, enhanced in surface glossiness or transparency and having colored appearance, and a manufacturing apparatus used therein. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of the three-dimensional shaped article successively repeating a process for forming a powder material on a support as a layer having a predetermined thickness and a process for bonding the powder material layer by a binder so as to have a cross-sectional shape formed by cutting a shaping object by a parallel cross section, the binder, which is 1.05-5.0 times the amount of the binder applied to the interior of the shaped article, is applied to the outermost layer of the shaped article.
