The invention relates to a carrier card suitable for carrying an optically readable disc such as a CD, a CD-ROM, a magneto-optical disc, a Mini-disc or a DVD or any other kind of known or future optically readable disc. The information carrier card is also intended for carrying a number of microelectronic chips, such as a SIM plug for mobile phones or any other kind of known or future electronically readable chip. The invenstion has a part holding an optically readable disc, and the optical disc is individual from and attached to the carrier card by any suitable means such as by adhesive attachment techniques or by thermal attachment technique.
