The aim of the invention is to prevent a pre-defined target contact force of a contact roll, which can be pressed against a product guide roll with the aid of at least one pneumatically driven piston-cylinder unit, from being exceeded. To achieve this, the invention discloses a device for adjusting the contact force of the pressure roll, comprising dual-arm pivoting levers (6), which are located at a distance from one another and are mounted about a common fulcrum (7). According to the invention, the pressure roll (5) is rotatably mounted on one end of the pivoting lever and at least one piston-cylinder unit (4) acts on the pivoting lever (6), in order to bring the pressure roll (5) into contact with the product guide roll (3) and to release said contact. A force of a stationary pressure body (10), which can be subjected to a pressure, acts on the other end of the pivoting lever (6) in opposition to the contact force of the pressure roll (5), to limit the intensity of the contact force. |
