A method of communicating in a Multi-Input/Multi-Output (MIMO) communication system is disclosed. The method includes the steps of receiving channel status information(CSI) corresponding to each transmitting data stream in the MIMO system (S10), and determining (S12)and applying (S14) a common modulation and/or coding scheme (MCS) to use for all of the transmitting data streams based on the received channel status information (CSI).
