PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive transfer recording material including a new coloring material having hues desirable on color reproducibility and favorable light resistance, a thermosensitive transfer method, color toners, an optical recording medium and color filters.

SOLUTION: This thermosensitive transfer recording material includes at least one kind of coloring matters expressed by general formula (1): X=D-B, wherein at least either X or B is substituted with at least one kind of hydrogen-bonding groups selected from the group consisting of -OH, -NHSO2Rb, -NHCOORb, -NHCONHRb and -NHCORc.
