PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for a vehicle capable of acquiring height information to specify a position of own vehicle, even when no radio wave is received from four or more of GPS satellites. SOLUTION: This navigation system 15 for the vehicle is provided with an own vehicle position detecting part 16 for receiving the radio waves from the GPS satellites to determine the position of the vehicle, and a magnetic marker 12 provided to correspond to a traveling road 11 to provide the height information.
