PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress skew amount of a wide medium, even when the wide medium is carried by a plurality of pairs of carrying rollers. SOLUTION: Images and a cut mark 60 on wide paper 2' are read by reading sensors 10a and 10b arranged on a carrying direction upstream side of a cutting position of a cutting unit. The skew amount of the wide paper 2' is detected based on a detecting time difference of the cut mark 60 on the wide paper 2' by the reading sensors 10a and 10b. Subsequently, each number of rotation of motors for driving the carrying rollers 7a and 7b is controlled to eliminate the skew amount of the wide paper 2' in a time span from a time when a cutting is performed in the vicinity of a leading end of the cut mark 60 on the wide paper 2' to a time when a cutting is performed at a trailing end of the cut mark 60 on the wide paper 2'.
