PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging apparatus for clothing requiring no hanger and generating no wrinkle in handing over the clothing. SOLUTION: The charging apparatus for the clothing for handing over the clothing 50 from a shaper 12 to the conveyer of the charging apparatus side for keeping the washed clothing 50 shaped by hanging the same on the shaper 12 has a pair of upper and lower conveyers disposed on the front upper portion of the apparatus body 11 for sandwichingly holding the clothing 50 handed over from the shaper 12 as conveyers of the side of the apparatus body. The leading end portion 23 of at least one conveyer of the upper conveyer 22 and the lower conveyer 21 is provided so as to be able to contact to and spaced from the other conveyer, the clothing 50 is held by closing the leading end 23 of the conveyer opening for receiving the clothing 50 handed over from the shaper 12 and conveyed to the next step.
