PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper structure of a vehicle body capable of increasing the coupling strength of a front roof rail with other members by increasing the rigidity of the front roof rail, and rationalizing a joining work of the front roof rail. SOLUTION: The upper structure 1 of the vehicle body comprises a front roof rail 2, a side roof rail 3, a front pillar 4, a three-way fork-shaped brace 5 to connect the front roof rail 2, the side roof rail 3 and the front pillar 4 to each other, and a sun visor mounting holder 6 disposed below the brace 5 to support a sun visor 10. A part with an end on the front roof rail 2 side of the brace 3 overlapping an end part in the vehicle width direction of the front roof rail 2 has each mounting through hole. The sun visor mounting holder 6 is fixed to the brace 5 and the front roof rail 2 by a bolt 7 and a nut 8 passing through the mounting through holes. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
