PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a case extension part rotatably supporting one of a pair of balancer shafts near a driven sprocket to an engine block by accurately positioning the case extension part. SOLUTION: The first balancer shaft 11 comprises a shaft extension part 26 long extending forward and the driven sprocket 16 is mounted on the shaft extension part 26. A case member 13 also comprises the case extension part 41 long extending forward, and a bearing part 34 bearing the first balancer shaft 11 near the driven sprocket 16 is mounted on the case extension part 41. A support bracket 51 is mounted on the front end face of a bearing frame 5, and a through member 71 passed through the balancer shaft 11 so that the bracket 51 can be relatively moved in the axial direction of the balancer shaft 11 is installed on the support bracket 51.
