LABYRINTH STRUCTURE OF ROTARY PART OF ROTARY MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a labyrinth structure of a rotary part of a rotary machine capable of preventing formation of stringlike worn waste to prevent inconvenience such as plugging-up which occurs on the downstream side and suppressing reduction of efficiency of a compressor. SOLUTION: This labyrinth structure is composed of a labyrinth ring 3 fixed to an inner face of a casing 2 and having an abradable membrane 3a on an inner face and a fin 4 whose outer fringe comes into contact with or bites the abradable membrane 3a to rotate at high speed and which is fixed to an outer face of a rotary body 1. The abradable membrane 3a is thermal spraying coat which is made of a material having average particle diameter of 40 to 100μm and excellent cut property and whose close adhesion force exceeds 5 MPa. When the abradable membrane 3a comes into contact with the fin at relative speed of 50 m/sec, worn waste having average particle diameter of less than 10μm is formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
