<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card with an information display means for further decreasing the thickness of an embossed IC card even when it is provided with a display, and for achieving the electric signal-like connection between the display and a line for controlling the display, and to provide a method for manufacturing the IC card with the information display means. <P>SOLUTION: This IC card with an information display means is characterized by displaying information whose reading to the outside of an IC card with an information display means among information stored in a memory arranged in the IC card, or information received from the outside of the IC card, or information based on at least either of them at the display of the information display means, and preventing the display and the embossed area from being overlapped with each other concerning the thickness direction of the IC card.
