<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser probe which is long and can radiate uniform light in a peripheral direction while providing a probe function to an optical fiber itself. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the laser probe 1, a clad 13 at the tip of the optical fiber is removed by only a prescribed length. The tip of the exposed core 11 is tapered so that the tip cross section angle of an exposed core 11 is ≥90°, and a reflective coating layer 5 is provided on this tapered surface. In addition, a resin which is obtained by melting white fine powder for optical dispersion into the resin is applied to the exposed core 11 to form a resin layer 9. Thus, laser beams made incident from a laser incident end is radiated to outside from the exposed core 11, and the laser beams reaching the tapered surface 3 are reflected by the coating layer 5 to be reflected return light and radiated to outside from the core 11.
