<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element with conversion efficiency of its photoelectric conversion element which is equivalent to that of liquid electrolyte (electrolyte solution), photoelectric conversion element and a dye-sensitized solar cell using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte composition containing ionic liquid and a cup-stack type carbon nanotube as the main components, as well as the one in a gel state containing ionic solution and a cup-stack type carbon nanotube as the main components is used.
