PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator for easily setting an amount of ventilation wind by a single ventilator without selecting any ventilators having the amount of ventilation wind suitable to the width of a room and the airtightness of the room. SOLUTION: In the ventilator, an exhaust fan 3 is provided internally, a motor 4 for driving the exhaust fan 3 is provided at a range hood body 2 installed at the upper portion of a cooking device 1, and a switch 5 for setting an operation mode is provided on the front surface of a hood body, so that the capacitance of a capacitor 10 connected in series between a power supply 6 and the motor 4 can be selected, thus setting a "weak" amount of ventilation wind to the amount of wind suitable to the width of the room and the airtightness of the room.
