PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise of a discharge device carrying out treatment of fluid to be treated by electric discharge, and to apply the discharge device even to a consumer air cleaner. SOLUTION: A shielding face 60 for reducing discharge noise caused by discharge generated between a discharge electrode 41 and a counter electrode 42 is provided on a shielding face 60 of the counter electrode 42, and the discharge noise is suppressed by the shielding face 60.
