摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to support firmly one of balancer shaft of one pair of balancer shafts to the revolution free near a driven sprocket. SOLUTION: A balancer unit of this engine has a shaft extension 26 that the first balancer shaft 11 extends in front and is composed so that the driven sprocket 16 is attached to the shaft extension part 26. A case member 13 has the first bearing unit 31 (32, 33) that bears the balancer shaft 11 near a weight part 21, 22 and an engaging gear 23 and the second bearing unit 34 that makes a ball bearing near the driven sprocket 16. The case member 13 includes an upper case 13U to couple with a cylinder block 4 and a lower case 13L to contact with the upper case 13U and equips a case extension part 41 with the upper case 13U that extends in front. The first bearing unit 31 (32, 33) is composed of the hole made by contacting halves part each other that is equipped to both cases 13U, 13L and the second bearing unit part 34 is composed of the hole made integrally with the case extension part 41.
