PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a trouble from occurring due to the entry of foreign matter mixed in a lubricating oil into a clutch part in a rotation transmission device controlling the on/off of the mechanical type 2-way clutch part by an electromagnetic clutch. SOLUTION: This rotation transmission device is formed so that a roller type 2-way clutch 10 can be installed between a cam ring 5 and an outer ring 6 on an input shaft 4. The electromagnetic clutch 20 controlling the on/off of the 2-way clutch part 10 is incorporated in the end part of the outer ring 6. A foreign matter entry prevention means 40 is installed in an oil supply path 30 formed between the rotor 23 of the electromagnetic clutch 20 and the input shaft 4. The entry of the foreign matter mixed in the oil into the outer ring 6 is prevented by the foreign matter entry prevention means 40 to prevent the trouble from occurring due to the entry of foreign matter.
