PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method fur producing a copper alloy conductor capable of suppressing the discoloration caused by oxidation in the surface of wire rod and further capable of suppressing the adhesion between element wires. SOLUTION: A copper alloy comprising, by mass, 1 to 10% Ag and 0.01 to 0.5% Mg, and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities is heat-treated in the pressure of≤3.0×10<SP>3</SP>Pa by plasma discharge, and is finally wire-drawn to a wire diameter of≤0.2 mm.
