PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottle grip device of an excellent production efficiency without changing any grip mechanism when carrying bottles with bottle neck portions of different size, and of excellent controllability and rapidity when carrying a large number of bottles, and a bottle carrying device using the same. SOLUTION: In the bottle grip device to hold a bottle neck portion of a bottle to be carried by a rotary type bottle carrying device by a grip mechanism to be opened/closed in a predetermined angular range, the grip mechanism has a center holder 13 in which grip areas 11r and 12r of different diameters to be engaged with bottle neck portions N of different diameters in a corresponding manner are formed on both sides of a tip part, and a pair of right and left opening/closing grip pieces 11 and 12 which are provided on both sides of the center holder to hold the bottle neck portion between the center holding body and itself. In the bottle carrying device, bottle grip devices 10 are radially mounted on the outer circumference of a rotater 51 so that the grip areas of the same diameter provided on the center holder 13 are directed in the same rotational direction.
