PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a device for discharging a curing agent which forms projection type characters. SOLUTION: The curing agent discharging device 1 which discharges the curing agent for forming the projection type characters on a recording medium is equipped with a discharge opening 21 for discharging the curing agent, a cylinder 22 which is filled with the curing agent and forms a filling chamber 22a that communicates with the discharge opening 21, a piston 23 set to be movable back and forth in the cylinder 22 for changing the volume of the filling chamber 22a, and a piezoelectric element 25 for giving a moving force to the piston 23. The piston 23 is moved by the piezoelectric element 25, whereby a pump unit and the like are eliminated and the device can be reduced in size. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
