PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for machining a metal sheet 15, which can suppress the generation of working heat and does not cause the warping and distortion. SOLUTION: The method for machining a metal sheet includes a process for cutting off the metal sheet 15 by the water jet machining, a process for relieving the residual stress existing inside the metal sheet 15 by the heat treatment of the metal sheet 15, and a process for cutting the metal sheet 15 so as to give a specified outer shape.
