PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide assembling device and assembling method of a piston ring, allowing a worker to perform all work in his seated state. SOLUTION: A base 30 supports a boosting mechanism 60 as well. In the boosting mechanism 60, a ball screw 63 rotated by a motor 62 is disposed in a case 61, an elevating body 64 is engaged with the ball screw 63, the elevating body 64 is provided with a claw member 65 boosting piled expander rings (piston rings) held in a magazine part 40 from below, and further a cylinder unit 66 is provided between the case 61 and a frame 50. When the cylinder unit 66 is expanded, the magazine part 40 and the boosting mechanism 60 are integrally tilted about a shaft 51 toward the worker.
