PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly apply an insulating coating material and to prevent the occurrence of product defectiveness. SOLUTION: In the method for continuously coating the surface of a fiber coated wire material 3, which is formed by winding fibrous yarn 2 around a conductive core wire 1, with the insulating coating material 4, the fiber coated wire material 3 is immersed in and passed through the insulating coating material 4 in an insulating coating tank 5 while pressing the surface of the fiber coated wire material 3 by a compression roller 8, and the insulating coating material 4 is infiltrated into the fibrous yarn 2.
