PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely digitize a jaw bone density necessary for artificial tooth root implantation by removing effects of the thickness caused by individual differences in the flesh of the cheeks, the gingiva, and the like and differences in position. SOLUTION: This jaw bone density measuring instrument is provided with an X-ray source having a change part for changing a tube voltage and irradiating X-rays, an X-ray sensor detecting the X-rays irradiated from the X-ray sensor and transmitting through a subject, and an arithmetic control part calculating the jaw bone density based on signals from the X-ray sensor which detects the X-rays irradiated under different tube voltages respectively. The arithmetic control part calculates transmittances of the X-rays irradiated under the different tube voltages respectively based on the signals from the X-ray sensor which detects the X-rays irradiated from the different tube voltages respectively, and calculates the jaw bone density by performing the calculation by a difference calculus based on the transmittances.
