<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for producing a three-dimensional molding by which production time is reduced and the flexibility of the production and the quality of the molding are improved. <P>SOLUTION: The three-dimensional molding is produced by continuously compacting the layers of a fine powder molding material (57). The fine powder molding material (57) is solidified by electromagnetic radiation or particle radiation at the positions corresponding to the respective cross-sections of each molding (52). The apparatus comprises: a beam source (16) for generating a beam; a beam deflection device (18) for deflecting the beam onto the layer to be solidified, and a carrier arranged inside a treatment chamber (21) for receiving the molding(52) to be formed. At least two working stations (21, 24) are formed inside one treatment chamber (28) each time.
