<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a charge circuit for a portable communication apparatus, which can suppress heat generation even in case the portable communication apparatus is operated during charge and besides can execute the charge efficiently, and a charge control method. <P>SOLUTION: This charge circuit has a secondary battery 103 being a main power source and a reserve secondary battery 104. When the portable communication apparatus gets in communication state while charging the secondary battery by connection of an AC adaptor 20, it drives the portable communication apparatus while charging the secondary battery by the AC adaptor if the output voltage V<SB>B1</SB>of the secondary battery is not less than the set voltage α, and it drives the portable communication apparatus by the reserve secondary battery while charging the secondary battery by the AC adaptor if V<SB>B1</SB><α. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
