<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromotive tool capable of preventing matter (e.g., worker's hand) other than a work from coming into contact with a rotating tool. <P>SOLUTION: This electromotive tool is equipped with a radar for transmitting radio waves to the vicinal region of the rotating tool and receiving the reflected waves from the radio wave reflector present in the vicinal region, a means for calculating the distance between the radio wave reflector and the tool and the change speed of this distance from the received reflected waves, a first brake for applying slow braking when the calculated distance and speed satisfy a first standard and a second brake for applying sudden braking when the calculated distance and speed satisfy a second standard. The first and second standards are constituted so that a long distance is set as the speed becomes fast and the distance is set with respect to the same speed so that the first standard becomes longer than the second standard. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
