摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a catalyst which can oxidize carbon monoxide more efficiently than platinum, and to provide a method for producing the catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: A carrier such as aluminum oxide is impregnated with a solution containing platinum, dried at 100&deg;C, and baked at 300-600&deg;C. Next, the baked carrier is impregnated with a solution containing rhenium, dried, baked, and reduced in a hydrogen flow of 300-600&deg;C.
