<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an image forming method which reproduces an image at high gray balance and high accuracy even in a highlight area of 3C gray. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: a pseudo half tone processing part 14 for generating image data, in which the numbers of lines of respective colors C, M, Y, K are equal to each other and a screen angle difference between two optional colors in the colors C, M, Y, K is ≥25°, from input image data of CMYK color space; an optical unit 21 for performing optical writing on the basis of the image data outputted from the pseudo half tone processing part 14; and developing devices 31-44 for forming the image by developing toner images correspondingly to the optical writing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
