<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of changing setting or resetting without interrupting a copy job in progress as a result of checking a finish with "trial copy" in performing expansion reservation copy. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has an image forming control section for controlling an image forming operation consisting of reading and printing of an original, a previously reserving means for reserving setting and executing of an image forming condition of a second image forming operation during printing after completion of reading of the original in a first image forming operation, and a previous test printing instructing means for instructing test printing. If the previously reserving means reserves the second image forming operation, a reading operation in the second image forming operation is preferentially performed. Further, if the previous test printing instructing means instructs test printing, a present printing interrupting means temporarily interrupts the printing operation in the first image forming operation, and a previous test printing executing means executes the test printing in the second image forming operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
