<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal identification system which can reduce the memory capacity of a storage device, can suppress the cost required for the storage device and has the high rate of recognition with the reduced effect by the state of a person receiving the recognition. <P>SOLUTION: The system is equipped with the portable storage device in which the first time intervals between a plurality of the prescribed characters, a plurality of the characters and prescribed frequencies from the speech uttered by a specific individual relating to a series of the prescribed character are previously stored and an information processing apparatus having a reading means for reading the first time intervals and the plurality of the characters and frequencies stored in the storage device, a speech input means for inputting the speech uttered by a person to be identified, a speech data extracting means which extracts the second time intervals corresponding to the first time intervals and the frequencies corresponding to the prescribed frequencies from the plurality of the characters of the speech inputted by the speech input means, and a collating means which collates the second time intervals and frequencies extracted by the speech data extracting means and the first time intervals and frequencies read by the reading means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
