PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutoff structure of a header of a sash frame, which ensures the cutoff performance of the header of the strong-side frame header (cavity) appearing on the periphery of the sash frame at a frame joint portion in a labor-saving manner and without damaging the appearance of the sash, to thereby improve the reliability in waterproof performance at a gap between the periphery of the sash frame and cladding members. SOLUTION: The cutoff structure of the header of the sash frame functions to cut off water at the strong-side frame header 2 appearing on the periphery of the sash frame at the sash frame joint portion consisting of a vertical frame and a horizontal frame. The frame header 2 is formed such that its inner shape tapers off toward the outside of a sash, and that inner corner portions 6, 7 on the outside of the frame are made arcuate. Further the cutoff structure is comprised of a cover member 11 which has a flat plate portion 12 having a slightly smaller analog shape than the inner shape of the frame header 2, and has an elastic cutoff member 14 at least along a peripheral edge of the flat plate portion 12, facing inner surfaces 3, 4, 5 of the frame header 2.
