PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic lock capable of preventing the illegal use of the lock against the will of a user or the like. SOLUTION: The electronic lock (1) comprises an electronic lock body (3) and the electronic lock (5) inserted in the electronic lock body (3) in an insertable manner, and only when finger-print data read out by a finger-print reading section (53) provided to the electronic lock (5) coincides with finger-print data registered into a memory (58), a clutch structure is driven, and it is so constituted that a turning motion of the electronic lock (5) can be transferred to a turning drive section (30) making locking and unlocking operations. Since an electronic key user can be specified by utilizing a physical characteristic such as a finger-print, the illegal use of the electronic lock can be effectively prevented.
