PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photopolymerization initiator stable to environmental lights such as room illumination by fluorescent lamps, a dental light for illuminating the oral cavity, and the like, excellent in operability and presenting a cured product having excellent physical properties by rapidly curing by irradiation of intensive lights using a light irradiator for polymerization and useful as the initiator for dental composite resins. SOLUTION: The photopolymerization initiator comprises (A) anα-diketone compound such as camphor quinone or the like, (B1) an aliphatic amine compound such as triethanol amine, N-methyldiethanol amine or the like, (B2) an aromatic amine compound such as ethyl p-dimethylaminobenzoate, N, N-dimethyl p-toluidine or the like and (C) a trihalomethyl-substituted triazine compound such as 2, 4, 6-tris(trichloromethyl)-s-triazine, 2-phenyl-4, 6-bis(trichloromethyl)-s-triazine or the like.
