PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure stable paper separation by always blowing air to a predetermined part of paper regardless of size of the paper, in a paper feeder of an image forming device of a stencil printing machine or the like. SOLUTION: The paper feeder comprises a paper feed pedestal 30 for loading paper, a pair of paper guides 31 and 32 that are disposed on both sides of loaded paper in the width direction and regulates the position of the paper in the width direction, an air suction type conveying mechanism 33 which is arranged above the paper feed pedestal 30 and air-sucks and conveys the uppermost paper of the loaded paper, and an air blow mechanism 36 for blowing air from the front side in the paper conveying direction toward the loaded paper. The air blow mechanism 36 has a blowing port 101 at a position separated from one paper guide 31 in the paper width direction by a predetermined distance, and can positionally change in the paper width direction in interlock with one paper guide 31 in a state where the predetermined distance is kept. The pair of paper guides 31 and 32 can preferably move symmetrically with respect to the center reference line in the paper width direction of the paper feed pedestal 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
